Statement

My name is Natalya Kuzmina. I am a professional artist with over 25 years of exhibition experience, working primarily in oil and mixed media. I am an Elected Member of the Society of Canadian Artists.

My most recent work is a series of small daily oil paintings that come from taking a closer look at what we see every day—familiar objects, simple places, and small moments that are easy to miss. I love exploring the quiet details: shifting light, subtle changes in colour, and the feeling of a passing moment. Alongside these smaller pieces are larger works, where I return to the same subjects and spend more time with them, allowing them to unfold with greater depth.

Colour has always been a passion and a source of inspiration. Rich, vibrant tones and expressive brushwork bring energy, warmth, and life to each painting.

Each piece is a one-of-a-kind work, created to capture the sense of calm, beauty, and quiet presence and to be enjoyed and lived with over time.
